Announcement of All Saints Herodsfoot Annual Parish Church Meeting and the retirement of Rev. Tony Hodge
Rev Tony Hodge has been our parish priest for the last 5 years and is now planning his retirement. Tony and Ruth are now at the stage of planning to move away from Herodsfoot to their new home. Tony’s last church service will be at Easter. We will appreciate your support with coming to wish him good wishes for his retirement at his last church service. Full information about this service will be included in the March Crossroads and village notice board.
Amendment to the location of the Annual Parish Church Meeting (APCM) mentioned in the February Crossroads recently circulated. Rev Hodge will be holding the APCM on the 25th February at 7.30pm at All Saints Church not at Duloe School.
Father Tony is leaving after the Easter Sunday Service at Duloe.
Note: The services for March are not as the March News Letter.
The services for March are 9th which is the second and 30th March which is the fifth Sunday and he had asked if we could have a shared service at Duloe for the 30th March as it is Mothering Sunday. re will not be a service on the 23rd March (fourth Sunday).

Set in the only Cornish community whose men all came home from WWI [Herodsfoot!], Third Light follows the fortunes of those who walked through war as thousands fell around them.
Conceived and written by Simon Parker, directed by Nicola Rosewarne, choreographed by Ben Dunks and performed by Attik Dance, St Pinnock Band and an ensemble of community actors, Third Light is a total theatre production fusing contemporary dance, live brass and drama funded by Feast.

17 July, 7pm - on the Green 7th annual Rocky Rombola night, in memory of Brian Pitts, and named after his favourite wine. Friends are invited to gather for a drink in Brian’s memory.
26 July Annual Village Ram Roast and Duck Race on the village green in aid of All Saints Church -
A lovely summers day on the village green and £734 raised for All Saints Herodsfoot.
Sunday 3rd Aug 11am - Fortunate Village Plaque Unveiling
Herodsfoot War Memorial: To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WW1 and Herodsfoot’s status as a ‘fortunate village’ whose men all returned from both World Wars. Last year the Fortunate Villages Motorcycle Ride visited Herodsfoot as part of their fundraising for the Royal British Legion. The riders left a plaque at all the fortunate villages in the UK – ours has been placed on the war memorial and was unveiled by Sheryll Murray MP at a commemoration event on Sunday 3rd August at 11am.
