Comments: What a fantastic place Herodsfoot is spent many a childhood hour there with my best friend Tim Crago, we lost contact years ago. Took my family to Deerpark and the chalets last year for a day trip and yes the place filled me with great memories and some sad ones helicopter crash................. Oh how I do remember skate boarding down church hill and trying to cycle back up at the end of the day.
If Tim is still around which I see he still is if he wants to get back in touch then please pass on email

Comments: I visited this site because my family roots are in Herodsfoot. I believe my great great grandfather was a shoemaker in Herodsfoot in the early 1800's [1841-1854]. He immigrated to Canada 1n 1854 with his second wife[Mary Bennett] and their children. I am planning a trip to England in 2012 and will visit Herodsfoot. I enjoyed the site, well done.
